“Adva helped me prioritize myself by setting boundaries” -- Week 3 Update
You will have clarity on what you want from your teaching career before you walk into a classroom instead of just reacting to whatever school or situation you land in.
You will spot the false beliefs that can lead to burnout and reject them before those beliefs take root.
You will have the tools to be kind to themselves when things don't go perfectly rather than spiraling into self-criticism or treating every hard day as proof you're failing.
You will be able to design their classroom space that actively supports how you want your room to run.
You will have a behavior management approach built on relationships and structure.
You will be able to make play a legitimate, intentional part of instruction, not just something reserved for "free time.”
You will have a repeatable process for planning lessons instead of starting from scratch or winging it every week.
You will be able to build a classroom that runs on shared ownership rather than teacher control.
You will have a real support system in place, instead of trying to carry the weight of teaching alone.
We celebrate! All that you’ve learned, implemented, and created in order to make teaching more sustainable for you as you continue your years as a classroom teacher.

This is more than just a course.
This is the roadmap I wish I had when I first started my teaching career.
This is the roadmap I’ve used throughout my eleven years in the classroom.
My first year of teaching was not at all what I pictured. I didn’t have a clue what to do.
For me, the lack of confidence and knowledge hit hard when I walked into the classroom for the first time. I was going to be teaching a second language inside an early childhood classroom. Was I even ready for it? What did a less plan look like in an early childhood setting?
I knew something needed to change. I knew that if I didn’t start somewhere, I’d end up in another meeting with my supervisor telling me that I wasn’t meeting expectations and would be losing my job.
Over the course of the last several years, I have had the pleasure of coaching and mentoring new teachers to further support them inside the classroom and beyond. I hope the information and strategies in this course will help you feel more settled and prepared.
