It Starts in Your Head: Mindset Work for Teachers
Mindset is something so many of us struggle with. Our thoughts tend to take the lead, especially those negative thoughts. When I started working on mindset, I tended to believe those negative thoughts. I believe those thoughts were true and therefore I wasn't meant to be doing more, making more, finding new friendships, starting a successful business, etc.
In this episode, Kathleen dives right into the nitty gritty explaining how mindset can truly change a teachers life and change their classroom. So how you start to change your mindset?
- Become an observer of your thoughts
- Create awareness around the habits you have
- Notice what you're listening to and reading
Once you have that awareness, you can start to shift the things that you can see are not working for you. This is where the incredible shift starts to occur.
Mindset is KEY when it comes to changing your circumstances.
- How do you want to show up each day in the classroom?
- What do you want your life outside of teaching to look like?
- Is there a desire that's been on your heart that you haven't made any progress on lately?
Your mindset truly creates your reality.
When your mindset is in a negative place, you don't feel like you have anything good happening in your life. When you start to approach teaching and life in a more positive light, that's when things start to shift.
